A coffee lovers dream.........

YES it is true! These are all the choices availiable at my sisters place. My day starts with what type of coffe I would like there are just a few choices as you can see from the photos......
My brother-in-law even had coffee ready for me as I stumbled out of bed at 5am to meet a group ride last week. What a life!
Settling in nicely to life here, everyone was a little suprised to see me. I was even spotted on my first ride ( middle of the day when ppl were supppose to be at work) the day after I was back.... the cow kit definately does not allow for incognito riding. So this led to a barrage of riding, involving many stops at various coffee shops that just had to be tried out! As there has been no rain for awhile the place is dry but allows for great riding - sunshine, sunshine and more sunshine is the order of the week and to top it off, it is the end of winter here and the high today is 27! ( Celsius that is )
Riding in the city is definately different to the open, sometimes aromatic roads of Madison. Each has it perks and I will do the tourist thing on one ride and post some pics.
Looks like a good weekend in Downers for the team - really missed not being there with you all. Anyways hope all is well in the land of Up and Over, chat to y'all soon............. Palm

Miss ya, Trisher!

So Trisher is on a plane back to Oz and it's been way too quiet around here. I found a photo of Trish having coffee and I'm sitting her with my coffee and it's almost like I'm having coffee with my teamie! Whoa nellie, I think I need to get a life!

Speaking of life, it would seem that Gabby has taken to getting herself all beat up like her human mom. She escaped on Thursday and I'm reasonably certain that in her 3 hour AWOL time she got smacked by a car. Her rear end is very sore--and her rear end is about car bumper height. She's so sore that the rabbit preening itself on the other side of the fence didn't even get her to move. Gabby not chase down and kill a rabbit? Ho ho ho, that'd never happen unless she was not feeling good.

When I take her to the vet I think I'll have them check my arm and my ass to see if they are healing properly. I like the vet a whole lot more than my real doc.

So, Anna is coming by in a bit and we're going to get into some mischief. Nat cat is racing today and I hope to hear from her soon. I think I called Betsy at 6:30 this morning. Sorry 'bout that Betz! It seemed like it was at least 8am! Mama Schmitt and I are riding in Chilton tommorrow on some charity ride. I did it last year as prep for Downers so it's prep again this year. Rachel is getting ready to move across the street and the other Rachel is sending cute updates on Cecilia..the baby couch! Next week Heather is coming in to ride Downers--yaaaa!

That's all I know, as far as the team goes. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon--
cheerios,

Obnoxious in Sheboygan

Oh we had fun today, me, Anna and Trish. The race was in Sheboygan and we did a little sight seeing after the race. Among other things, we found this huge chair. We took some photos and cruised around downtown Sheboygan. I stopped in the roundabout but in my defense, it didn't look like a roundabout. Roundabouts are usually round and this one was more of a flat circle/triangle sort of thing. I managed to annoy the driver to my right waiting to get into the triangle-a-bout and we then followed him laughing hysterically until he waved at us. Why is this funny?? Dunno, you had to be there.

On the main street we saw our mates from the IS Corp team and we circled the car around stealthily to pull up alongside the curb. There was a man walking with a little kid on his shoulders so we waited (politely, I think) until he'd passed the girls on the sidewalk then Trish dropped her daks out the window which put me and Anna into spasms. We heard Madelyn shriek and start laughing. Obnoxious? Yes.

Thanks, IS Corp, for putting up with us. It's awesome racing with you and it's obvious (to us, anyway) that you have the same love of racing and having fun as we do.

The fun didn't stop there. We found a coffee place (the Z spot) and had some java for the ride home but we stopped in Fredonia at Mr. Fritz's, a bar owned by a friend of mine. He was surprised to see us and we had the bar laughing but good. The smoke eventually drove us out but it was fun while we were there.

On the drive home we called Laura 15 times, talked to Betsy, and after that there was a text message war from the front to the back seat.

So all round good day, plenty of silliness and some good racing. We miss ya, Heather, Nat, Julie, Rachel and Laura!
love, dq
